Kate Sikora
Sikora is the Polish name for a bird which is part of the Titmouse family. This name is appropriate for an artist such as Kate Sikora who likens her music to the often quaint and quirky avians. Her music has evolved from its humble beginnings in a New Jersey suburb..to a bigger community in New Brunswick, NJ where she collaberated and performed with a menagerie of great bands and musicians. The past year was spent recording "Grace in Rotation," her first solo album and singing and playing guitar and keys for the band "Red Sonja" (Doug Ensel (bass), Carlos Militante (drums), and Carrie Peckar (keys and vocals) which added a much rockier and edgier element to her songwriting. "Grace in Rotation" was recorded at Rubber Music Studios by Michael Voorhees and released independently in July 2005.  It is available online at cdbaby.com. This site is just a starter site until the website is up and running.  In the meantime, check out her bio/pics/music/shows at www.myspace.com/katesikora.
